Location: Flackwell Heath and Wooburn Green

Are you looking for meaningful work where you can support young people to discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and build skills for life? At Macintyre No Limits , we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life that makes sense to them. Our programmes support young people aged 16–25 with learning disabilities and/or autism to develop independence, confidence, and real-life skills.

Working pattern Term-time only – 39 weeks per year Full-time: 38 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 4:36pm) Up to 3 weeks of training during school holidays About the role As a Teaching Facilitator , you'll work alongside young people to explore their interests, build independence, and develop practical life skills. Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom — it happens in real places and everyday situations.

You'll support young people both from our Flackwell Heath base and out and about, helping students develop skills such as:
Using public transport Managing money and shopping Building confidence in social situations Exploring interests, hobbies, and future opportunities Following Macintyre's person-centred approach , you'll focus on what matters to each young person — recognising their strengths, celebrating achievements, and supporting them to take meaningful steps towards greater independence. What we're looking for You don't need previous experience in social care or education — what matters most is your values, enthusiasm, and belief in people's potential .

We'll provide all the training and support you need. You will need: A UK manual driving licence GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths A positive, creative and flexible approach A genuine passion for person-centred support Why join Macintyre? We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work.

About us Mac Intyre is a national charity which supports over 1,200 people with a learning disability and/or autism. We were founded in 1966 by the visionary parent of a child with disabilities and have been growing steadily ever since. We celebrate and develop everyone's unique gifts, talents and contributions. Our No Limits division provides bespoke education programmes to children and young people for whom more traditional learning environments may not have worked.

Training and Development At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job. But it doesn't stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams.

These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.
