Position: Elev8 Online Humanities and PHE Teacher
Elev8 is hiring a 0.5 FTE summer teacher specializing in PHE 10 and Humanities.

Experience with online platforms like D2L is essential.

This term role at Elev8’s DESK Program involves teaching subjects such as Explorations in Social Studies and Food Studies. Applicants must be certified teachers in British Columbia or eligible for certification by the start of the position, reinforcing quality education delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach targeted courses in English and Social Studies

• Deliver Physical Education lessons using online strategies

• Engage students effectively through D2L/Brightspace

• Assess and track students' academic progress

• Modify courses in response to enrollment trends

Requirements:

• British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate or eligibility

• Background in senior high humanities education

• Proven experience with D2L/Brightspace

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

• Commitment to supporting Indigenous equity hiring
