Salary: Starting £35,000 per year. Experience & qualifications may put you in to a higher threshold.
Location: Plymouth (although we do have other centres, and some remote working, such as own boat tuition may be required from time to time).
Hours: Full Time – Permanent Position
We are looking to recruit an experienced STCW/MCA Master with significant workboat experience to help deliver our RYA, MCA, STCW, Lantra & Highfield courses. Sea Regs Training Ltd is a leading marine training centre, and is highly regarded and respected within the commercial maritime sector. Courses have a range of commercial and leisure candidates that have varying training needs.
Ideally, alongside the required qualifications, you will also hold some of the desirable qualifications (See right)
Delivering our high quality, educational training programmes.
Proactive to health & safety, and Maritime and Coastguard Agency regulations, as well as our own Safety Management System.
Inspection & maintenance of equipment and vessels.
General training centre and boat tasks.
Qualifications / Experience- An experienced STCW/MCA Master (200GT or higher or BML T1 L2)
- ENG1 or ML5 medical.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A proactive, “can do” attitude where no problem is too big. A belief that you can make a genuine difference to the commercial maritime sector and an ambition to be the best.
- Flexibility to workdays to suit training and operational requirements, which may include weekends.
- The skills to be self‑motivated and a proactive member of a successful team.
- RYA Yacht master with commercial endorsement (Sail or Power)
- RYA Cruising Instructor (Sail or Power)
- RYA Powerboat Instructor or Advanced Powerboat Instructor
- RYA VHF SRC Assessor
- RYA Shorebased Navigation Instructor
- RYA Radar Instructor
- Pension Scheme
- Training and development opportunities.
Salary: Starting £32,000 - £35,000 per year. Experience & qualifications may put you in to a higher threshold.
Location: Plymouth (although we do have other centres, and some remote working, such as own boat tuition may be required from time to time).
Some off site work will also be required from time to time to cover operational needs, such as own boat tuition and off site training.

We are looking to recruit a Yacht master Instructor (Power) to help deliver our RYA, MCA, STCW, Lantra & Highfield courses. Sea Regs Training Ltd is a leading marine training centre, and is highly regarded and respected within the commercial maritime sector. Courses have a range of commercial and leisure candidates that have varying training needs.
Ideally, you will already hold some of the existing qualifications noted (see right). However, we are focused on having the right person for the role rather than a person with the right qualifications.
We will also consider an experienced RYA Cruising Instructor for this role too.
