Water Treatment Technical Sales Support Service Technician - Anchorage, Alaska

Garratt-Callahan is a family friendly, profitable, stable company with a long history. This role is based in Anchorage, Alaska, with territory coverage across most of Alaska. The position involves maintaining existing customers, performing water treatment tests at customer sites, and collaborating with Territory Managers.

Technical Sales Support Service Technicians are responsible for maintaining existing customers in the Anchorage, Alaska area. The territory includes most of Alaska. This role emphasizes field testing, customer service, and supporting growth opportunities alongside veteran Territory Managers. The career path includes training to become a Territory Manager with potential for unlimited commission and a year-end bonus.

• Solve customers  water problems.
• Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing and analyses at industrial sites such as commercial buildings, food processing plants, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and military bases.
• Assist in selling Garratt-Callahan s proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.
• Help sell corrosion & scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio-augmentation, feed & monitoring equipment, water management plans, and reverse osmosis products.
• Promote Water Safety Programs.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and contribute to new customer acquisition.

• A technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Paper Science, or Water Resources.
• A 4-year science degree is required; capable chemist.
• One-year technical sales experience or an internship related to water treatment chemicals is preferred; training and mentoring available. Outside industrial sales experience is a plus.
• Must live in Alaska, preferably in/near Anchorage, and be familiar with the industrial marketplace of Alaska.
