Job Description

We are seeking a mid‑level Site Civil Engineer to support electrical utility and renewable energy service areas. The position is based in our Cincinnati, OH office with flexibility for hybrid or remote work within the Cincinnati area.

Support grading and drainage/stormwater management design for new and existing electrical utility sites and renewable energy sites (solar, wind, battery storage), as well as access road design, permitting, and construction support.

• AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• Stormwater management calculations, design, and modeling
• Floodplain modeling and analysis
• Site layout, grading, drainage designs, and drawings
• Bill of materials
• Construction specifications
• Perform detailed engineering reviews of the work submitted by others
• Provide mentorship and guidance to others
• Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met

• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• Engineer‑In‑Training certification
• Four (4) to eight (8)+ years of experience in civil site/design including utilities, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, storm drainage and stormwater management design, site grading, roadway, utility design, sanitary sewer design, construction specification development, and construction bid packages
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station experience
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

• Professional Engineering License, with NCEES record and state reciprocity or ability to receive PE license within 1 year
• Experience with stormwater management and hydraulic modeling software (Hydro
  
  CAD, SWMM, HEC‑RAS, etc.) in drainage, detention, and stormwater conveyance
• Electric utility substation design experience
