Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Project Manager focusing on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. You will work on Data Center projects across the country, serving Fortune 10 companies. The candidate will work directly with clients to implement and manage project design and construction administration, develop project team members, and support civil site design services of private data center projects.
Key Responsibilities- Work with multidisciplinary teams to undertake site development projects related to their planning, design and engineering.
- Collaborate with private developers, general contractors, and architects.
- Be a responsive partner with excellent communication skills, proactive and solution-oriented.
- Manage dynamic project needs on tight timelines and fast paced schedules, including virtual coordination across geographic regions.
- Apply civil engineering concepts (site layout, grading, utility design) and communicate ideas effectively.
- Lead technical work and manage large, high-complexity projects.
- Liaise with clients and sub‑consultants to meet project needs in a timely manner.
- Lead project coordination meetings and review, markup, and coordinate documentation delivery for project phases.
- Participate and collaborate in project team settings, engaging in creative and critical thought.
- Assist design team with sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Assist with proposal development, interviews, and presentations.
- Support market and client growth throughout North America.
- Utilize technologies for 3‑D models of civil systems and provide markups for junior engineers/designers.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and peers.
- Assist in developing new standards and processes for the team.
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production.
- Strong knowledge of civil systems methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
- Check others’ work for accuracy and completeness, managing time to meet budget and schedule.
- Handle recruitment and participation in team settings, engaging creative and critical thought.
- Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Effective communicator and team leader.
- Efficient management of multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Planning, or related field.
