The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), within the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering is comprised of twenty-one full-time faculty. We provide students with a well-rounded, personalized, education in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management; with an emphasis on producing baccalaureate students who are fully prepared for professional practice upon graduation. The Department offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering, environmental engineering, project management, and construction management.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), in the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) invites applications for a Part Time Faculty position in the Construction Management (CM) Program. We seek candidates who have a passion for teaching along with relevant education and industry experience. The primary duties will be in-person, remote, or hybrid classroom teaching of undergraduate courses which may include disciplinary areas of construction management, civil engineering, architecture or related fields.

• Teaching undergraduate level courses, delivering exams, supervising students, and grading student work.

• M.S. in construction management, architecture business administration or civil engineering, or
• B.S. in construction management, architecture, civil engineering and 5+ years of engineering or construction management experience

• Demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Ph.D. or EdD.
• Registered Professional Engineering (P.E.) or other Professional Certifications.

• Advanced knowledge in Construction Management or related areas.
• Effective teaching ability at undergraduate levels.
• Curriculum development.
• Capacity to inspire students.
• Ability to manage undergraduate students.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively highly technical content to a diverse audience.

Anticipated compensation is $2,000 per credit unit or $6,000 per three-credit course. Commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.

Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment.
