YOUR ARC
As a Level Designer, you will work across disciplines to envision, plan, and implement entire sequences of fun and innovative gameplay with a strong focus on storytelling. Initial work will involve exploration of game design concepts and will move on to creating content for the game at final quality. From initial concepts, paper maps, and player experience documents to setting up gray-boxes, mission beats, and quests, you will own level creation in collaboration with art, animation, and design.

This role involves quick iteration and execution towards a cohesive overall experience. Your expertise with Unreal Engine 5+ is critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and own features related to the level and mission creation pipeline from prototype to final quality

Contribute to memorable gameplay experiences that support the narrative and the themes of the IP through collaboration with the broader team

Participate in game design discussions and contribute valuable ideas and feedback to all aspects of the project

Remain current with new and innovative technologies that help improve pipelines with efficiency and outcomes

Collaborate with other team members to integrate their work into a high-quality, performant player experience

Listen to feedback from stakeholders and translate it into actionable plans

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience with UE 5 and blueprints

2+ years working on AAA action RPG titles

Familiarity with gameplay mechanics in action/adventure/RPG titles

Ability to define and communicate solutions to complex narrative and gameplay

Self‑motivated, with proactive communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others

Passion for all aspects of storytelling to crafting memorable experiences

Capable of prioritizing and completing tasks on time for deliverables and milestones

We offer 3 weeks of vacation per year in addition to summer and winter studio breaks that are each two weeks long.

The hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 in addition to a bi‑yearly performance‑based bonus. The base pay may vary depending on the candidate’s region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
