Compliance Analyst – Full-time, Permanent
Location: Remote (UK) | Occasional visits to Southampton
The OpportunityIf you’re a Compliance Analyst who enjoys investigative work rather than purely policy oversight, this role offers ownership, variety and impact.
You’ll be working closely with the DMLRO in a practical, operational compliance role within a scaling fintech. Day to day, you’ll be conducting due diligence, reviewing source of funds and wealth, investigating transaction monitoring alerts, and supporting fraud investigations.
This is a live, fast-moving environment, ideal for someone who enjoys analysing complex information, making sound risk-based decisions, and being directly involved in protecting customers and regulated partners.
The role sits within a specialist debit card and expense management platform serving a global, high-end, luxury industry. The nature of the client base means high-value transactions, multiple currencies, and cross-jurisdictional considerations, making robust AML and fraud controls absolutely critical.

As a Compliance Analyst, you’ll join a small, collaborative team where compliance is central to the business and your work really matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting CDD, EDD, KYC and KYB checks
- Reviewing identity, SOF and SOW documentation
- Maintaining accurate onboarding and compliance records
- Investigating transaction monitoring alerts
- Escalating suspicious activity and support SAR preparation
- Monitoring screening alerts and ongoing customer risk profiles
- Supporting fraud, chargeback and unauthorised transaction investigations
- Clearly documenting investigations and decisions
- Assisting with compliance reporting and policy updates
- Deputising for the Compliance Officer when required
They’re looking for a Compliance Analyst who:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Compliance Analyst in AML / Financial Crime
- Background in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services
- Experience with CDD / EDD / KYC / KYB
- Experience reviewing transaction monitoring alerts
- Good knowledge of UK & EU AML regulations
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote role
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience with high-net-worth or corporate clients (preferably with knowledge of the superyacht industry)
- Experience using screening / verification tools (e.g. Sumsub)
- ICA or ACAMS (or working towards)
- Experience in a start-up or scaling business
- Interest in technology / AI-driven tools

You’ll be trusted to take ownership, supported by an experienced team, and exposed to complex financial crime scenarios in a growing fintech environment.
