Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day‑to‑day operations of our mortgage lending platform. This role is responsible for managing the full loan lifecycle, from application through funding and post‑closing, while ensuring compliance with all federal and state mortgage regulations.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of residential mortgage lending, regulatory compliance, warehouse line management, and secondary market delivery. This individual will drive operational efficiency, maintain quality control standards, and support scalable growth while protecting profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the mortgage lending process, including processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post‑closing
  • Manage pipeline flow to ensure loans meet service level agreements and closing timelines
  • Implement systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Supervise operations staff, including processors, underwriters, closers, and post‑closing team members
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and borrower experience
  • Oversee warehouse line management, including funding coordination and reconciliation
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including pull‑through rate, turn times, defect rates, and profitability
  • Collaborate with compliance, sales, and executive leadership to support company growth initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage lending operations, with leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), FHA, VA, and non‑QM products
  • Experience managing warehouse lines and secondary market loan delivery
  • In‑depth understanding of mortgage regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to improve workflows and scale operational systems
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with LOS systems (e.g., Encompass, Meridianlink Mortgage.) preferred
