Senior Manager, Actuarial Services

• Conduct analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes. Provide expertise and technical support in matters related to the successful and financially sounds operations of the company’s health plan businesses.

• Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes.
• Develop and/or negotiate capitation or premium rates with State or Federal agencies
• Oversee health plan experience, identify trends and recommend improvements
• Research and identify new business opportunities
• Work with Health Plans to ensure soundness of capitation or premium rates
• Work with State or Federal agencies to assess impact of program/policy changes
• Present results (pricing, risks, opportunities) to internal business partners (such as Health Plans, Finance, Accounting, and other departments)
• Develops actionable recommendations to management relative to all analysis.
• Leads cross functional teams to address key issues facing the organization.
• Recommends changes in area(s) policy and procedure
• Communicate technical concepts and results to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences
• Support Health Plans with financial forecasting and analysis

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of actuarial experience.
• Preferred experience:
  
  Medicaid experience preferred, but not required

• Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (or equivalent international certification). Member of American Academy of Actuaries (or equivalent international membership).

To be considered for this Sr. Manager, Actuarial Services role, this position REQUIRES a minimum of an ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) credential, a bachelor's degree, and a min. of 6+ years of actuarial experience.

Pay Range: $ - $ per year
