Apex Systems is seeking a talented Snowflake Developer to join our cutting-edge financial services partner on a high-impact initiative. In this remote role, you'll design, develop, and optimize the Snowflake data environment, driving data management solutions that empower strategic business decisions. Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and maintain robust tables within the Snowflake platform
- Design scalable table structures to support diverse reporting and integration needs
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into actionable solutions
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes for seamless data flow
- Enforce best practices in naming conventions, data types, constraints, and comprehensive documentation
- Monitor environment performance, proactively troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline or query issues
- Conduct data quality checks, profiling, reconciliation, and address discrepancies
- Uphold strict security, access control, and governance standards within Snowflake
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or Snowflake development
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
- Expertise in Snowflake data analysis, schema design, and performance optimization
- Strong background in data quality, profiling, and validation within Snowflake environments
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience leveraging AI for data management and automation
- Financial services or banking industry background
