Lakeshore Talent is seeking a seasoned Durable Medical Equipment (DME) & Medical Supplies Project Manager to oversee and optimize the DME and Medical Supply department for a prominent healthcare provider. This role is vital to improving operational efficiency and reducing costs across 20 clinics and the in-home care division.

Location: Remote with 15-25% travel (estimated 4 days per month to centers Nationally)
Contract Length: 6 months (with high intent to transition to permanent)
Salary: $58-$72/hour

Position Overview:
As the DME & Medical Supplies Project Manager, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory management, streamline processes, and ensure cost-effective procurement and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. This role involves analyzing data to drive cost efficiencies, managing vendor relationships, and leading efforts to improve operational performance. The position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Systems & Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize inventory management processes for DME & Medical Supplies.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including clinicians, care coordinators, and finance teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Oversee procurement, distribution, tracking, and maintenance of inventory, including equipment for in-home care patients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Analyze data and key performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive strategic enhancements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to drive innovation in DME management.
  • Participate in the Clinical Committee for formulary reviews and off-formulary requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DME & Medical Supply management and operations within a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proven success in process improvement, cost-saving initiatives, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Excel (expert level), Tableau, Power BI, and MS Project.
