Project Manager – Defence Region
Job DescriptionYou will oversee the full life cycle of multiple projects with values ranging from £100k to £5 million, ensuring each project is delivered to schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Work on multiple projects at one time and prioritise your workload
- Lead new building and listed building projects through the full construction cycle
- Plan, manage and coordinate projects in line with governance processes
- Report to the Senior Project Manager on all projects
- Ensure projects are managed to the agreed dates and costs
- Manage stakeholder relationships
- Manage the full life cycle – design, pre‑construction, procurement, construction, closure
- Present designs and project progress to clients, customers and end users
- Work with the supply chain to develop projects from early scoping through RIBA phases to RIBA 7
- Write scope and agree with clients and customers
- Report progress, issues, risk and opportunities to the client and customers
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be willing to work on site in Buckinghamshire
- Background in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or Civils
- Hold a CSCS Card
- Hold a valid SMSTS qualification
- Health and safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
- Must hold an active High Level Security Clearance or recently lapsed clearance
- Must be a UK Sole National and prepared for further clearance if required
- Exceptional communication skills to interface with clients, sub‑contractors, designers, personnel and building occupants
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple construction projects
- Can‑do attitude and support the wider delivery team
- Understanding of the RIBA phases
- Commercial awareness and experience managing a supply chain
