Responsibilities
  • Lead 15 technical, administrative and contact centre staff enhancing a customer‑centric culture in line with council values and service standards.
  • Directly manage 3 technical and contact centre team leaders, 2 contract administrators and a voids officer.
  • Effectively and robustly manage the core repairs and void contractor ensuring performance meets required standards.
  • Ensure effective identification of repairs and appointment making at first point of contact.
  • Oversee the responsive repairs aspects and performance of Gas, Electric and other specialist compliance contracts, in conjunction with Compliance Officers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and support.
  • Have oversight of all budgets and ensure effective processes for valuations and prompt contractor payments.
  • Ensure the team and contractors comply with all health and safety and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Professional membership (RICS, CIOB or equivalent).
  • Significant experience managing a repairs service, ideally with external contractors.
  • Excellent contract and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and the Big 6 compliance areas related to repairs and voids.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
  • Driving licence or access to transport.
