Southeast Regional Director

The Southeast Regional Director collaborates with community leaders to create pathways for navigating change and building durable local and regional economies. Using a problem-driven approach, the Southeast Regional Director helps communities uncover root challenges, remove obstacles, and develop the skills, resources, and systems needed to strengthen economic resilience unique to their circumstances. This role works in close collaboration with fellow WBC team members while cultivating and broadening relationships with partners, businesses, and local leaders.

Serving as a trusted guide and connector, the Southeast Regional Director inspires progress, nurtures collaboration, and steers communities toward new possibilities.

The Wyoming Business Council focuses on identifying policies or systematic limiting factors that are constraining state and local economies. This is not about short-term wins but rather sustainable opportunities to build resilience: policies, programs, and services designed to unlock long-term, systemic change.

The Regional Team lives and works in the regions they serve. We know that having a direct connection to what affects a community is best understood by those who experience life in the area similarly. Our Regional team is built to help you work on the right challenge at the right time for the right reasons because we collaborate closely with city, town, county, tribal, and business and industry leaders in the interest of connecting and facilitating the process of accessing WBC programs and services best suited for the community’s unique situation.

As the Southeast Regional Director, you lead with a collaborative spirit, engaging others in inclusive, far-reaching decision-making to advance shared goals. This position has the flexibility to be located in any of the counties within our Southeast region (Carbon, Albany, Laramie, or Goshen). While WBC does have office space in some locations around the state, it may not be an option where you are located. Applicants are advised to be prepared to work from home and travel frequently.
