Overview
The Heather Cutler Foundation is a federally incorporated non-profit organization based in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded by Heather’s family after experiences navigating pancreatic cancer care, the Foundation is driven by a commitment to real change. Values include equity, action, empowerment, community, transparency and compassion.
Responsibilities- Volunteer Onboarding & Engagement:
Coordinate all stages of onboarding, including application review, interviews, forms collection, orientation scheduling, and issuing credentials. - Volunteer Support & Retention:
Conduct regular check-ins, ensure volunteers have the tools they need, and foster a sense of community and appreciation. - Scheduling & Project Matching:
Place volunteers into projects that fit their skills and availability; track time commitments and adapt to the Foundation’s evolving needs. - Internal Communications:
Maintain clear, organized records of volunteer involvement and communications using tools such as Notion, Slack, and Proton. - Documentation & Compliance:
Ensure all volunteers have signed required documents (e.g., confidentiality, AI use, external communications policies) and store securely.

Skills:
Friendly, organized, reliable communicator with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment. - Experience in Volunteer Management:
Prior experience coordinating volunteers in a nonprofit or community setting preferred. - Detail-Oriented:
Ability to track multiple moving parts, from documents to dates to personal stories. - Digital Literacy:
Comfortable using Notion, Proton, Slack, Google Drive, scheduling platforms, and related tools. - Independent & Collaborative:
Able to work remotely while collaborating with the Founder and project leads. - Mission-Aligned:
Passion for advocacy, equity in healthcare, and community-building. Familiarity with cancer care is a bonus, but not required.
