Mopec is currently searching for a Quality Supervisor. This is an onsite or remote position and will be based at our Madison Heights, MI location.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify defects or deviations.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve quality problems.
• Train and mentor quality personnel on quality assurance techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and audit findings.
• Communicate quality performance and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
• Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or Lean principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments.

• Certification as a Quality Auditor (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) or Quality Engineer.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and advanced data analysis software.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the industry, such as FDA, ISO/TS standards, or other compliance frameworks.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a quality department.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and practices.

The Quality Supervisor utilizes strong analytical skills to interpret quality data and identify areas for improvement, ensuring products meet stringent standards. Leadership and communication skills are essential for guiding the quality team, training, and collaborating with other departments to resolve quality issues effectively. Proficiency in quality management systems and tools enables the supervisor to implement and maintain robust quality processes and documentation.

Problem-solving skills are applied to investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions that prevent recurrence. Knowledge of regulatory standards supports compliance and the organization’s reputation for quality and safety.
