We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Consultant) to support our large publicly held client's Operating Expenses (OPEX) group, with a specific focus on Travel & Expense (T&E) transactions. This role is an individual contributor position at the manager/senior manager level and is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation: $55 to $90/HR W2 DOE

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and oversee T&E accounting processes, including review and approval of high-volume transactions (100K+ per month).
• Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the Global Business Systems (GBS) team based in India.
• Perform quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
• Approve journal entries related to T&E transactions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across finance, operations, and global teams.
• Apply critical thinking and accounting judgment to complex scenarios involving OPEX and T&E items.
• Drive process improvements and uphold internal controls over financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on expense management and general ledger review.
• Strong understanding of T&E processes and systems.
• Experience working with or managing offshore teams is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data and transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Concur, etc.).
