Sales Development Representative – India About Civo

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic team. This remote role focuses on outreach to potential clients—startups, SMEs, and mid‑market companies—qualifying leads, and supporting the broader sales process.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with your account executive to strategize on how to approach target accounts and build meaningful pipelines in your territory.
  • Identify, research and prospect key contacts at target accounts and build a foundation for a strong long‑lasting relationship.
  • Conduct high‑volume outbound cold calls to engage IT Heads at SMB, Mid‑Market and Enterprise companies.
  • Qualify prospects by identifying their pain points, needs, and interests.
  • Set meetings with decision‑makers and key influencers, passing qualified leads to the sales team.
  • Use a consultative approach to educate prospects on the value proposition of Civo.
  • Handle objections with confidence and persistence, ensuring meaningful conversations with potential buyers.
  • Leverage Linked In, email, and other outreach methods to supplement cold calling efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM, tracking progress and optimizing outreach strategies.
  • Continuously improve outreach techniques based on feedback, data, and market trends.
  • Be an active part of the team sharing best practices and participating in projects to improve our team.
  • Manage, track and report sales activities and results using Hubspot.
  • Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, including lead generation and meeting quotas.
Key Results/Objectives
  • Consistently meet lead generation targets within the first 3–6 months.
  • Help generate pipeline to support 10+ new customer wins in first 6 months.
  • Assist in onboarding at least one new channel/reseller partner per quarter.
Requirements
  • Strong preference for candidates based in Bangalore, India.
  • 2+ years of experience in an SDR role or lead generation role from a SaaS, Paas, IaaS B2B company.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales enablement platforms.
  • Technical orientation with the ability to learn and articulate complex technical solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Kubernetes is a big advantage.
  • Fluent English.
