Account Manager – Medical (Saskatchewan)
About the Role
Essity is searching for an experienced  Account Manager  (Medical portfolio – Acute Care, Community, and Home Health Care). The role involves providing ongoing support to various accounts, implementing business strategies to achieve profitable relationships, and identifying new revenue opportunities. Responsibilities include promoting products such as HYDROFERA BLUE®, LEUKOPLAST®, CUTIMED® wound care products, JOBST® compression, and DELTA-CAST® fracture management products. This is a remote position covering Saskatchewan;

the ideal candidate should live in the Regina or Saskatoon area and be able to travel frequently. We seek people who embody our values, challenge convention, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with accounts to promote all brand awareness and secure profitable business in Acute, Community, and the Home Healthcare market.

Develop, implement, and monitor customer‑specific sales plans and marketing programs to meet or exceed sales targets. Collaborate with internal and external partners to successfully represent and grow the Essity business.

Serve as a primary interface for all products and services and create demand for the organization’s products by raising the company profile with assigned strategic partners. Conduct in‑services, seminars, presentations, and training of Essity products for customers.

Recommend products and services (value proposition) that fit well with client’s business needs. Collaborate in the development of internal and external training and education programs for various Essity‑assigned disease treatment therapies for customers.

Collaborate with the RSD to ensure channel growth and opportunities, business strategy implementation, and contract negotiations including terms and conditions.

Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities.

Frequently analyze customer information to discover and manage business risks and opportunities.

Support facility‑level customer business reviews.

Collaborate with marketing to deliver value‑added tools to accounts.

Work closely with the Western Canadian team to support chain accounts, assist with education, participate in conversions across Western Canada, collaborate to develop new programs and share initiatives.

Who You Are

University degree or equivalent experience.

3+ years relevant experience in sales or account management.

Account management experience in the Healthcare Industry: Acute, Community, and Home Healthcare preferred but not required.

Wound care and compression garment fitting experience preferred but not required.

Advanced negotiation skills.

Strategic thinking skills.

Solid understanding of account profitability.

Strong presentation skills.

Ability to develop sound sales and marketing plans and, more importantly, the ability to deliver the plan.

Solid understanding of the business and the entire value chain.

Strong CRM utilization skills.

Advanced knowledge of the products and services offered.

Ability to drive a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license.
