* Salary Range - $60,000 to $65,000
* Travel - Occasional overnight travel for up to a week at a time to conduct or oversee fieldwork, attend meetings or similar. Estimated travel 50-60% during growing season, 10-30% outside of growing season.

Additionally, employees can choose from several voluntary benefits including critical illness coverage; accident insurance; identity theft coverage; pet insurance, and more Biologist DAWSON is seeking a mid-level biologist with 5-7 years of directly related experience to join our Natural Resources team.
The ideal candidate will function as a biologist on the team, supporting and participate in a variety of federal projects throughout the country. The ideal candidate will work closely with other biologists, NEPA practitioners, and project managers to execute natural resource surveys in a variety of habitats, wetland delineations, and habitat restoration activities. The ideal candidate will development environmental survey and various reporting documents.
This position is an opportunity to assist with project activities from start to finish including: assisting with proposals, project planning and project execution tasks, assisting with USFWS consultations and regulatory interpretation, conducting field and geospatial data collection, data analysis; and scientific and technical report preparation, including detailed report formatting and quality assurance. Responsibilities:
* Perform natural resource surveys, vegetation mapping, invasive species mapping, nesting bird surveys, raptor surveys, permitting, wetlands and WOTUS delineations, planting and habitat restoration activities, consultations, environmental monitoring, and monitoring inspections.
* Provide technical expertise in the field to conduct biological and ecological surveys
* Collect project-related data, which may include research; conduct surveys for listed species; participate in meetings on teams or in person with government agencies and clients
* Perform multiple assignments within scope/budget/schedule expectations and adhere to DAWSON’s quality standards on project deliverables.
* Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, colleagues, contracting officers, stakeholders, and public information meetings.
* Prepare technical documents such as survey reports, monitoring plans, habitat and wetland delineation reports, biological assessments, desktop surveys, NEPA support, and existing conditions documents
* Prepare Section 401/404 permits and various agency coordination letters
* Use DAWSON project management tools to effectively help manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets. Qualifications and Requirements:
