Position SummaryWe are seeking a Remote Social Work Supervisor to oversee clinical and compliance-related aspects of our international adoption programs. The ideal candidate is experienced in child welfare
, home studies
, and intercountry adoption
, and is committed to ethical, family-centered practice.
This is a remote, part-time role with flexible hours. Ideal for licensed professionals seeking meaningful impact in international social services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise social work staff in clinical services:
home studies
, child background studies
, counseling
, post-placement
, and adoption readiness
. - Review home study reports submitted by cooperative or supervised providers.
- In cooperation with staff, ensure compliance with Hague Convention standards (22 CFR Part 96).
- Provide guidance on complex cases and support staff working with high-risk families.
- Participate in agency self-studies and quality improvement
. - Collaborate with the Executive Director on policy, programming, and ethical practice oversight.
- Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or a related human services field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in adoption
, foster care
, or child welfare services. - Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Hague-accredited adoption
, home study procedures
, and intercountry placement
. - Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote team environment
.
- Access to reliable internet and a secure home office.
- Occasional availability for evening calls or weekend consultations
