Software Engineer Belfast Full-time Engineering The Opportunity Our client is one of the leading digital asset trading firms in the world, operating at the intersection of institutional finance and crypto markets. They've built a reputation over nearly a decade for doing things properly, with integrity, precision, and genuine ambition. Their Belfast team is growing and they're looking for an early-career software engineer who wants to be part of something that moves fast and means it.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to blend in. They want people with an entrepreneurial streak who can navigate ambiguity, take ownership, and move with purpose. The Process They've put real thought into how they hire, and they want candidates to succeed. Here's what to expect:
Online Assessment - a take-home exercise covering theory and coding questions. Around 1 hour, up to 2 hours maximum. Focus areas: algorithms, data structures, recursion and SQL. Virtual Onsite (Technical) - a 2-hour interview with the engineering team. An hour of pair programming, a 15-minute break, then 45 minutes of system design. You can use your own IDE or Coder Byte.

HR Screen - 30 minutes covering your motivations, what you're looking for, challenges you've navigated, and how you work with others. Executive - 30 minutes with the CEO or another senior leader. Know the mission and values going in. What They're Looking For They're not hunting for perfect answers,they want to see how you think. Specifically, they're assessing four things: the ability to reason through hard problems calmly (tenacity), pride in the quality of your work (excellence), ownership of your mistakes (integrity), and genuine collaboration (collective strength).
