Senior Application Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join a growing software organization within the high-speed interconnect and electronics manufacturing industry in a remote position, Monday-Friday (EST/CST time preferred).

Responsibilities of the Senior Application Engineer include:

* Lead the design, architecture, and evolution of scalable data platforms supporting factory and engineering systems

* Architect, implement, and optimize large-scale databases and data pipelines

* Lead development of APIs and services enabling reliable, scalable data exchange

* Champion the use of AI for yield optimization, predictive analytics, and process improvement

Qualifications for the Senior Application Engineer include:

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS preferred)

* 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated technical leadership

* Hands-on experience building APIs, distributed systems, and data integration solutions

* Strong hands-on experience with source control, code reviews, and CI/CD practices

* Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or similar

* Strong background with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Compensation for the Senior Application Engineer:

* Base Salary: $130,000-$170,000 (USD)
