In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing site transportation, overseeing the shipment of inbound and outbound goods while focusing on cost and transit time.
You will also develop processes to improve logistics operations' quality and efficiency, working independently under Supply Chain management supervision. Main Function Responsibilities
A) Develop strategic transportation plans by analyzing schedules, routings, and consolidation opportunities.
B) Develop and maintain logistics supplier KPIs; lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance.
C) Maintain and analyze freight spend data; identify areas of opportunity and drive corrective actions.
D) Review and validation (and/or approval) of freight spend
E) Book, track and confirm critical shipments with consideration of incoterms, customer commitments and business needs
F) Coordinate with internal and external customer to ensure shipments align with business needs (customer expectation and financially)
G) Communicate risk and mitigation plans around external logistics
H) Support Warehouse & Logistics Leadership team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
I) Perform other duties as assigned

A. Education &
Qualification:
- High School Diploma is required.
- Associate's Degree or higher in Business or in a related area is preferred.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in:
- Shipping, Transportation, or Logistics
- Prefered experience with TMS or other freight tracking systems
C. Professional
Skills:
- Experience in a customer related area or proven ability to work well with outside customers is required
- Must be proficient in job-related computer activities.
- Must have proven communication skills.
- Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
- Ability to read and review written communication.
- Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
