American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified RN for an Oncology Infusion position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Orange, CA, requiring outpatient oncology experience and an active CA RN license.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required (pending licensure not accepted)
- Current BLS and Chemotherapy (Chemo) certifications required
- Outpatient oncology (OP Onc) experience required
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; 2+ years required for first-time travelers
- Epic EMR experience required
- Chemo certification required for all candidates, including first-time travelers
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Oncology Infusion unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
- Patient care approximately 70% oncology-based therapy and 30% blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No weekend or on‑call requirements
- Floating between like units and all facilities within the state is required
- Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on‑site
- RN scrub color is royal blue
- First‑time travelers accepted provided they hold a Chemo certification and have 2+ years of experience
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; scheduling requests related to additional outside employment will not be considered
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
