Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract: 182 days per year, 7 hours per day (0.875 FTE)
Salary Range: $18.87 to $26.85 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position

About the RoleThe Special Education Instructional Assistant will work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students' IEPs. Responsibilities include providing academic, behavioral, and functional support; assisting with personal care needs; and maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the team.
Assignments are based on student need and may include working one‑on‑one, in small groups, or in inclusive classroom settings. The role requires responsiveness, patience, and adaptability to the unpredictable nature of special education.
Who We’re Looking For- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications in CPR/First Aid and CPI, or completed or ability to complete.
- Two years of college credit, an associate’s degree, or ability to pass the district’s assessment in reading, writing, and math.
- A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Collaborative, proactive, and confident with students requiring physical assistance, behavioral redirection, or personal care.
- A deep sense of compassion and a good sense of humor.
