Salary Range: $17.00 To $21.00 Annually
POSITION SUMMARYProvides assistance and support to various machines and processes in the plant.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Assists and supports production machines and processes including kitting and packing parts.
- Ensure that acceptable material is packaged per the customer/product specification.
- Confirm that the quality of the finished packaging meets the customer's specifications.
- Ensure that quality documents are completed and legible at appropriate stages of production.
- Assist in resolving all nonconforming material and product immediately, and follow procedure for identification, quarantine where necessary, and assist in disposition.
- Document all process and product data in ERP system as well as customer‑required reporting.
- Identify lean and process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure that machine and machine area is kept clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
- Materials handling, including monitoring material quality.
- Label any skids of raw material to be returned to inventory.
- Use the shift overlap profitably; keep the machine running and communicate to the next shift.
- Follow all safety rules at all times, reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate manager/supervisor.
- Return all excess packaging supplies to the storage area at the end of a job.
- Perform any other function or responsibility as assigned.
- Complies with safety rules and standards.
- Immediately reports any unsafe conditions to the shift supervisor, group lead or manager.
- Reports any concerns of potentially harmful environmental practices to the Shift Supervisor and/or Management.
- Ensure compliance with standard work and other applicable manufacturing standards.
- Identifies and communicates near misses and safety incidents.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and understand complex work instructions.
- Basic computer/ math skills.
- Self‑motivated and detail oriented.
- Team oriented.
- Ability to lift 50lbs-75
Ibs (location dependent).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferred.
