Position: Server Support Engineer (US Shift)

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. The Server Support Engineer will be responsible for deploying new servers, monitoring server health, resolving technical issues, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software components.

Monitor server performance and availability, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.

Implement security measures to protect servers from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement server infrastructure solutions.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in server management and security.

Document server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support and maintenance tasks.

Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades as needed to maintain optimal performance.

Requirements

Shift Time : 11 pm- 8 am

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Server Support Engineer or similar role.

WHM and Cpanel knowledge must

In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization technologies.

Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve server‑related issues.

Experience with server monitoring and management tools are a plus

Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls on servers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
