Afterschool Site Specialist - MAGNA, UT

Overview

The Site Specialist will oversee the after school program at a school in Magna, Utah, during the school year. They will work with educators, parents, and students in Kindergarten to 8th grade, up to 25 hours a week implementing after school work and inputting data to illustrate grant success. The Site Specialist will be the primary liaison between families and the after school program and will help recruit educators to lead after school clubs.

The Site Specialist will oversee the after school program from 3:15 pm‑6:30 pm Monday‑Thursday. Primary responsibilities include checking students in and out, providing snack, managing behavior, recording attendance and other data, communicating with parents, and helping families and students register for after school activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for helping with monthly family nights and other family activities, and will collaborate with other after school staff to ensure a successful program.

• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills
• Experience in recruiting, supervising, and working with other adults
• Excellent organizational skills
• Basic computer skills – Word, Excel, and Internet
• Experience working and/or desire to work with youth and their families
• Access to reliable transportation to and from the work site
• Must be available for all hours of program operation, with occasional evening availability required for family nights.
