Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The National Manager will have the responsibility for enhancing and overseeing the continued revenue growth of the National Defeat ALS Your Way (DIY) program. The National Manager is also responsible for the execution of marathon event fundraising activities across the United States and abroad, where The ALS Association is a charity partner.
Responsibilities- Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of approximately $2.5M across the Defeat ALS Your Way fundraising program and marathon partnerships.
- Develop and execute a national fundraising strategy for The ALS Association’s Defeat ALS Your Way platform and all Team Challenge ALS marathon runners including program guidelines, materials, and trainings
- Partner with local field development staff to recruit participants and athletes and ensure a cohesive participant experience.
- Utilize best practices to retain and upgrade athletes and fundraisers across programs.
- Utilize peer-to-peer fundraising platforms and CRM systems to drive engagement and maximize revenue. In partnership with Digital Engagement team, oversee event websites, registration systems, and ensure timely updates.
- Create and deliver coaching to participants that provide guidance, updates, and encouragement throughout the season.
- This job does not have supervisory responsibilities
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, and 3-5 years of progressive organized peer-to-peer fundraising or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required:
Accounting Software;
Development Software (Luminate Online Team Raiser and Salesforce preferred);
Human Resource Systems;
Microsoft Office;
Payroll Systems;
Project Management Software. - Proven experience in leading and managing peer-to-peer fundraising programs and training volunteers, volunteer coordinators, and paid staff in year-round peer-to-peer programs and thon-events.
- A leader and team player with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Must develop, maintain, and positively influence relationships.
- Extremely efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure. Experienced and able to work with budget planning and tracking, and revenue share calculations.
- High capacity to assess the value, importance, and/or quality of activities and people.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time including but not limited to event locations and attendance at Association events as required or requested.
The ALS Association’s pay range for this position is $49,440 - $59,196 annually. The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location.
Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.
The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
