Job Overview:
The After School Associate is a part-time position ideal for high school students interested in gaining experience in a supportive, educational environment. The role involves assisting with after-school activities, helping younger students with their homework, and ensuring a safe and positive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Supervision:
    • Assist with supervising students during after-school activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
    • Help enforce school rules and guidelines to maintain a positive environment.
  • Homework Assistance:
    • Offer help to younger students with their homework, guiding them through their assignments.
    • Encourage good study habits and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Activity Support:
    • Help organize and participate in fun, educational, and recreational activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and sports.
    • Assist with setting up and cleaning up materials and equipment for daily activities.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with students and staff, working as part of a team to support the after-school program.
    • Provide updates to the Program Director or School Coordinator as needed.
  • Environment Management:
    • Help keep the after-school space tidy and organized.
    • Ensure that materials and supplies are ready for each activity.
  • Student Support:
    • Be a positive role model for younger students, helping to create an inclusive and respectful environment.
    • Address any minor behavioral issues with patience, under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Safety Awareness:
    • Follow all safety rules and guidelines to keep students safe.
    • Report any safety concerns to the Program Director or School Coordinator.
  • Qualifications:
    • Must be a high school student (preferably in junior or senior year).
    • Interest in working with younger children.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Responsible, dependable, and positive attitude.
    • Ability to balance this role with school responsibilities.
    Work Schedule:

    Part-time, Monday through Friday, typically from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM or as needed.
