Inspect Excellence In Every Flight as an Inspector

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation industry innovator to hire a skilled Inspector in Orlando, FL. If you have expertise in wiring harness inspection and a passion for precision, this role ensures quality and reliability in mission‑critical aerospace systems.

Role Overview

As an Inspector, you will verify that complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies meet rigorous quality and safety standards. Your attention to detail will directly impact product integrity, performance, and compliance, helping ensure every component is built to perform flawlessly.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect wiring harnesses, electronic units, and mechanical assemblies during and after production
  • Use predetermined methods and specifications to identify defects, flaws, or missing components
  • Operate precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and scales
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, inspection instructions, and customer specifications
  • Perform in‑process and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Accept, reject, or recommend rework for defective products
  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control methods where applicable
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience inspecting wiring harnesses
  • Certification or experience with IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 (IPC 620) and J‑STD standards
  • Strong ability to read and interpret wire harness prints and technical documentation
  • Experience using precision inspection and measurement tools
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace or high‑reliability manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with cable harness design and assembly processes
  • Knowledge of quality control systems and inspection procedures
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
