Job Description

To ensure that guests, associates, and resort property are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
  • Visit all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required, as identified and communicated by management.
  • Perform security patrols and lockdown of the following areas: restaurants, lobby areas, associate entrance, meeting spaces, parking areas, guest floors, executive offices, and back‑of‑house areas.
  • Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests to which you are assigned.
  • Ensure maximum safety and security at all times for guests, associates, and resort property.
  • Be courteous, tactful, and helpful, yet firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
  • Report in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel; submit oral reports and emergency notifications as directed by established security procedures.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention, Loss Prevention Supervisor, and respond to directions from any Executive Committee member.
  • Create and maintain the highest standards of security at all times, demonstrating a professional attitude, appearance, and application.
  • Respond to medical situations/emergencies as required, notifying proper authorities and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and well‑being of guests and associates.
  • Check associates leaving and entering the hotel at the start and end of shifts, or at any time when an associate leaves the hotel, as required by management. Collect all package passes and inspect parcels taken from the hotel.
  • Monitor the security of the receiving dock.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of packages and deliveries.
  • Confiscate unauthorized parcels, etc., and notify the Director of Loss Prevention and the appropriate department head.
  • Check all IDs of hotel staff and provide information and direction upon proper identification of all job applicants, salesmen, etc., as required by management. Notify the department head involved for permission for non‑staff personnel to enter the premises.
  • Record and report any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.
  • Perform all necessary clerical requirements of the Loss Prevention Department under the supervision of the Director of Loss Prevention, including security reports, incident reports, filing, processing work orders, ordering supplies, maintaining schedules, and posting bulletin board information.
  • Protect the hotel from admission of undesirables and others not conducting legitimate business within the premises.
Qualifications
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Red Cross and First Aid certified.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
