Position: Material Handlers work 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, four days per week;
Sundays are required.
The Material Handler fulfills customer orders by accurately retrieving and placing specified products and quantities onto conveyors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and with precision.
Roles and Responsibilities- Assist and facilitate case picking and sorting within the automated environment using computers, software and complex machines while following all Coke Florida safety procedures and policies.
- Collaborate within a team to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes.
- Adapt to the needs of the role and maintain knowledge of working in different work areas, meeting the minimum expectations for each area (HQS, semi‑automated lanes, pallet pick, flow rack).
- Assist in daily housekeeping and maintenance, keeping the work area free of trash and debris, and cleaning spills while following waste removal and recycling protocols.
- Work safely, accurately and efficiently to control warehouse inventory and keep shrink at an acceptable level.
- Monitor lane Photo‑Eye alignments.
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of a dynamic automated warehouse.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- Knowledge gained through 1–2 years of work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while walking and repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
- Flexibility to transition between different work areas as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret system instructions from the monitor screen.
- Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
- Capacity to work in a noisy, non‑climate‑controlled environment, including high and low temperatures.
- Self‑starter who takes initiative and seeks value‑add opportunities.
- Flexibility in scheduling; work hours may change based on business demands.
- Repeatedly lift, carry and position objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Repeatedly push and pull objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, at waist level, below the knees and bending at the knees.
- Repeatedly push and pull manual transport equipment (e.g. pallet jack or hand truck) with product loads up to a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
- Repeatedly grasp and manipulate objects of varying size requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
- Stand for the majority of the scheduled shift.
- Walk a minimum of 4 hours during the workday.
- Frequently work in a hot/humid indoor environment.
