Job Description
Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, FL is looking for a CNC Operator to work 5am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday.
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Operate CNC machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
- Load materials, start and monitor machine operations.
- Check finished parts with measuring tools.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Analyze and interpret drawings.
- Provide written and verbal instruction for tooling or die.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Plan own set‑up and operate necessary CNC machine tools.
- Consider material type, tolerances, choice of cutting tools, lubricants/coolants and machine tool feeds.
- Use precision measuring and gauging tools during and after machining.
- May be required to measure and copy parts.
- Determine specifications/standards for inspection of completed work and future repair specifications.
- Maintain inventory of inserts, end mills, drills used for CNC equipment.
- Return unused materials or supplies to the correct location.
- Observe basic plant safety rules and safe operating procedures for tool room equipment.
- Participate in tool design and process reviews as required.
- Effectively communicate issues concerning safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and tooling.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum 1–2 years CNC experience (required).
- Previous stamping experience (preferred).
- Detail Oriented:
High level of attention to detail and accuracy. - Machine Tools
Skills:
Proficient with all tool room machine tools including lathes (manual & CNC), drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders; able to work to precision tolerances. - Analytical
Skills:
Good math skills; ability to comprehend and interpret work instructions, safety procedures, and operating procedures. - Problem Solving
Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of manufacturing variables. - Blueprint
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and follow special written and/or verbal instructions. - Troubleshooting
Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot tooling and assist other tool room personnel with projects or assignments. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Effective communication; ability to interact in a team environment and with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers. - Decision Making:
Good decision making, planning, and organizational skills. - Organizational:
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; flexible and able to work within tight deadlines. - Initiative:
Self‑motivated; ability to work with little supervision.
Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
