CNC Operator

Job Description

Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, FL is looking for a CNC Operator to work 5am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday.

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and quality standards.

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
• Load materials, start and monitor machine operations.
• Check finished parts with measuring tools.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Analyze and interpret drawings.
• Provide written and verbal instruction for tooling or die.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Plan own set‑up and operate necessary CNC machine tools.
• Consider material type, tolerances, choice of cutting tools, lubricants/coolants and machine tool feeds.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools during and after machining.
• May be required to measure and copy parts.
• Determine specifications/standards for inspection of completed work and future repair specifications.
• Maintain inventory of inserts, end mills, drills used for CNC equipment.
• Return unused materials or supplies to the correct location.
• Observe basic plant safety rules and safe operating procedures for tool room equipment.
• Participate in tool design and process reviews as required.
• Effectively communicate issues concerning safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and tooling.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum 1–2 years CNC experience (required).
• Previous stamping experience (preferred).

  Proficient with all tool room machine tools including lathes (manual & CNC), drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders; able to work to precision tolerances.
