Construction Inspector

Position: Construction Inspector Role
Take on the vital role of Construction Inspector with the City of Oshawa, responsible for ensuring construction projects comply with approved plans and specifications. Candidates will utilize their engineering knowledge for effective project oversight.

As a Construction Inspector, you will perform detailed inspections across project phases, document findings, and coordinate with diverse stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery. This role is suited for those with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma and 1-4 years of experience, depending on the position level. Strong analytical and communication skills are important for resolving technical challenges and maintaining public relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections at all construction project stages

• Document daily activities and maintain job diaries

• Work with developers, contractors, and local agencies

• Investigate and resolve construction-related issues

• Give technical advice on construction and measurement tasks

Requirements:

• Completion of a Civil Engineering Technology diploma

• Relevant construction experience based on position level

• C.E.T. designation is an asset for senior roles

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications

• Ontario Driver's Licence in good standing required
