Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse in Emergency

Lakeridge Health is seeking a part-time Registered Practical Nurse for its Oshawa Emergency Department. This role revolves around delivering vital patient care and medical assessments on varied shifts.

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will work directly within a family-centered care framework, assessing and implementing nursing activities. With your 1-2 years of Med/Surg or Emergency experience, you will monitor patients’ health status and engage with a diverse patient community. This role holds the potential to make a meaningful impact in emergency care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and implement nursing care strategies

• Assess vital signs and monitor patient health

• Assist in setting up required medical equipment

• Deliver personalized patient care and support

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

• Valid RPN certification from Ontario College

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma required

• 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Strong interpersonal skills with patients and families
