Elevate your nursing career with a part-time position as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Eating Disorders Unit at our Whitby, Ontario facility. Focus on adolescent care and bring your expertise in crisis intervention to our team.
The ideal candidate will have registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and current CPR certification. We seek individuals who possess experience in adolescent assessment and treatment modalities while demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of an inter-professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for adolescents with eating disorders
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress
• Facilitate crisis intervention and support families
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for treatment plans
• Lead group activities and health teaching sessions
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• CPR and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Experience with eating disorders and psychiatric nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work shifts and handle stressful situations
