Be part of a dedicated team at Ontario Shores as a Registered Nurse in the Forensic Transitional Unit. Offer compassionate, specialized care for patients with complex mental health needs.
As an RN, you'll engage actively with the interprofessional team and may take on charge nurse duties within the Forensic Program. This role focuses on providing recovery-oriented care while adhering to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario. You will also support patients transitioning between levels of security, ensuring comprehensive assessments and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver specialized mental health care comprehensively
• Facilitate charge nurse duties while leading the care team
• Maintain compliance with CNO practice standards
• Document patient care efficiently and accurately
• Mentor and precept junior nursing staff
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current certification in CPR and BCLS
• Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
• Recent experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills
