Deliver compassionate care as a Part Time Registered Practical Nurse at The Village of Taunton Mill in Whitby, Ontario. This essential role focuses on medication administration and residents' individual care plans.
This permanent position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of residents in a retirement home setting. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you'll be responsible for following established medication procedures and reporting health changes to the nursing team. Candidates should thrive in high-stress environments and have a passion for quality living.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow established medication administration procedures
• Report changes in residents’ health to the nursing team
• Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Physician on care updates
• Support residents and families during care decisions
• Maintain accurate care records in the system
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid Heart Save Level of CPR
• Knowledge of Long-Term Care standards
• Experience with dementia or end-of-life care is a plus
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
