Location: Whitby
Advance your career as a Registered Practical Nurse at Ontario Shores, specializing in care for adolescents facing mental health challenges. Contribute to their recovery in a dynamic inpatient environment.
This position provides a permanent, full-time opportunity within the Adolescent Unit where you'll apply a recovery-focused model of care. With a commitment to mental health nursing, you'll collaborate with a diverse team in assessing and delivering therapeutic interventions. Ability to work across various areas of Ontario Shores is necessary to meet the needs of all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for adolescents
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses on patient care strategies
• Document patient progress and interventions thoroughly
• Facilitate activities that promote recovery and empowerment
• Demonstrate the application of nursing best practices
Requirements:
• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Knowledge of relevant nursing standards and legislation
• Skills in adolescent care are an asset
• Demonstrated critical thinking and communication skills
