Printing Press Operator

Job Overview

Amcor is hiring a Printing Press Operator to support high‑quality packaging production. This position is a 12‑hour shift (2‑2‑3 schedule rotating bi‑weekly between day and night). Compensation includes a $3,000 referral bonus.

• 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 schedule rotating bi‑weekly from days to nights.
• 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 straight night shift schedule.

• Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
• Operate press lines, including changeovers, machine start‑up, running, and shut‑down.
• Support operations to become World Class with a focus on safety.
• Run jobs in accordance with customer, manufacturing, and print specifications, color folders, and SOPs.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork accurately (production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, S.O.C sheets, etc.).
• Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change‑over and downtime.
• Train and direct the press assistant on the required duties defined in the assistant training matrix.
• Comply with 5S and WCM initiatives (cross‑training, moving to the work).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

• Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience required.
• Experience with quality checks and interpreting results to adjust machinery for compliance.
• Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer system and associated programs.
• Adequate math, measurement, and reading skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to perform detailed visual inspections including the use of measurement devices.
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality.

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods (steel‑toed shoes required).
• Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching.
