Position: Health & Benefits Leader, Large Market - Norway - Oslo

The Role

As the Head of Health and Benefits (H&B) you will be responsible to drive the overall H&B growth and profitability in Norway and oversee all H&B resources. You will have a matrix reporting line to the Regional H&B Head and the Country Head (Norway) and will be responsible for the following:
  • Responsible for all aspects of delivery of Willis Towers Watson products and services for the LOB within the country. Developing client strategies to deepen, broaden and build profitable relationships including penetration of other LOB services with existing H&B clients
  • Manages

    Country H&B pipeline and sales opportunities working closely with

    Clients Relationship Directors, Geography Leader and Senior Consultants
  • Responsible for supporting H&B sales opportunities with a particular focus on developing the large market segment within Norway
  • Oversees H&B marketing efforts in Norway: Primary accountability for leading and executing a business strategy to introduce new clients to the company and expand relationships with current clients in order to meet annual revenue goals
  • Member of H&B Region Leadership: Works with H&B Region Leader, Head of Operations and Excellence, and other H&B Regional and Country Leaders to achieve H&B business plan including financial targets, effective staff management and utilization of Intellectual Capital (IC)
  • Member of Norway Leadership: Works with Geography Leader and other LOB Country Heads to execute Norway business plan, with a focus on H&B priorities and initiatives, as well as cross-LOB perspectives.
  • The Requirements

  • 10+ years employee health, risk and retirement employee benefits experience in Norway
  • Proven sales leadership and P&L leadership
  • Extensive experience in employee benefits broking, insurance or consulting
  • Knowledge of the relevant insurance and vendor markets 
  • Ability to execute on strategic staffing plans, including all people processes (recruiting, deployment, performance management, development and engagement)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and bring people together within a matrix structure in a performance driven environment
  • Ability to work both independently and with client teams, including virtual COE’s with members in different geographic locations 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills a must for this job
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
