CLV Group is seeking a highly skilled and driven professional to join our Ottawa office as a Senior Accountant. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and hands‑on experience in the fast‑paced real‑estate sector. As a key member of our finance team, the Senior Accountant will work closely with senior management to support asset management, monitor investment performance, and oversee financial aspects of real‑estate investments.

• You will own full cycle accounting and financial reporting for an assigned investment portfolio, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with professional standards.
• Prepare quarterly and annual income statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow statements.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes including recording of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and amortization schedules.
• Maintain and monitor the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure integrity and proper classification of transactions in conjunction with the Controller.
• Prepare and review working papers that meet audit‑ready standards and support external reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure documentation aligns with audit and compliance expectations.
• Support external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and response to technical inquiries.
• Contribute to process redesign initiatives that improve efficiency while maintaining control integrity.
• Leverage system capabilities within Premier and related platforms to enhance reporting accuracy and automation.

• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior accounting team members, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to system improvement initiatives, such as the ongoing conversion to a new accounting and job costing platform, Premier Construction Software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation is a plus but not required.
• Strong accounting knowledge with demonstrated experience applying professional standards in practice.
• Proven full cycle accounting experience within a real estate or multi‑entity environment.
• High level of integrity, professional judgement, and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting systems, with Premier Construction Software experience considered a strong asset.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented organization.
