Finance & Accounting Manager

Position Overview

An Ottawa-based professional services organization is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions and support broader financial operations. This hybrid role offers a balance of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate brings robust technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and clear communication skills. A CPA designation is preferred.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Perform and review bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage monthly close processes, including accruals and supporting schedules
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support audit activities and coordinate with external accountants
• Leverage accounting and CRM systems to improve financial workflows

• CPA designation preferred. Accounting diploma or equivalent required
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
• Solid hands‑on experience with payroll, A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Proficiency with Quick Books required
• Experience with Bullhorn CRM is an asset
• Background in staffing or recruitment industry is an advantage
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred
