Join the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT) as a part-time Bookkeeper. This role involves managing financial transactions and accounting tasks, including donation entries and payroll processing.
The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include using SAGE accounting software for financial transactions, entering donations into BASIC FUNDER, and managing payroll. Your attention to detail will ensure compliance with accounting standards for non-profits and support MMLT's mission of conserving wilderness in Eastern Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter financial transactions accurately into SAGE software
• Record monthly donations from various platforms
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare payroll and remittance submissions on time
• Create monthly financial reports for management
Requirements:
• Experience with not-for-profit accounting
• Accounting training and bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
