Traffic Controller

Responsibilities

• Use hand signals and directional signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
• Communicate with other flaggers using hand‑held radios to direct two‑way traffic onto a single lane.
• Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect safety.
• Appropriately position warning and detour signs around construction sites.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to various sites in Ottawa and surrounding areas/Pembroke, ON.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.

Compensation: The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be $27.00 per hour. The wage offered may vary based on local job market factors and candidate experience and other objective business considerations.
