Available for the Winter 2027 semester, this position requires expertise in contemporary art and a passion for teaching BFA students. Your contribution will include guiding students through critical explorations of self-publishing, alongside practical material projects. Expect to curate course content around readings and exhibitions aligned with this contemporary topic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement coursework on self-publishing
• Inspire student investigation into contemporary art methodologies
• Facilitate hands-on practice in visual arts
• Manage outings to relevant exhibitions for experiential learning
• Provide constructive feedback on individual projects
Requirements:
• Academic credentials in Visual or Fine Arts
• Experience in an educational setting focusing on contemporary art
• Competence in guiding discussions on self-publishing
• Ability to assess and mentor BFA students effectively
• Commitment to attend all required classes on Tuesdays
Lead transformative learning experiences for students at the University of Ottawa by exploring contemporary practices in the arts.
